Introduction
Proboscis is organising a Public Forum Lab with the Stanhope Centre to bring together practitioners from the arts, industry, government, civil society organisations and academia to review the work underway for Social Tapestries and stimulate public debate on the issues.

Programme
The forum is divided into two main sessions, the first will comprise an overview of the Social Tapestries research programme and some of its projects and experiments, whilst the second will be an open-floor discussion between participants of the issues raised by Social Tapestries, future directions that this programme or other projects might take, and agendas for public and corporate policy making and lobbying.

Who Should Come
The event is for artists, geographers, interaction designers, social scientists, creative researchers, technologists, social activists and civil society workers, economists and public policymakers, business and industry working in mobile and network communications. This event is a pre-competitive forum for the free exchange and flow of ideas intended to generate opportunities for dynamic partnerships that find common ground between artists, culture organisations, civil society organisations, academia, government and public agencies, business and industry.
